Turncoat Doesn't Have Schizophrenia

1. He almost never acts psychotic on the forum, unlike say, Dima79. Even tryp and cs act crazy when they're not in chat.

2. As bitchy as he is, he has decent social skills, something that most people with schizophrenia seriously struggle with. He's able to make friends and meaningful relationships.

3. He has hypochondria, giving himself labels that benefit himself. Another example of this is how he is a trans-woman despite not having dysphoria, or trying to look feminine. And he loves giving himself diagnoses, to validate himself. He is completely capable of writing paragraphs of posts, but he is too lazy to get a job, and uses schizophrenia as an excuse. He is irrational because of his emotions (laziness, wanting to feel special, low self esteem at being a failure), rather than being emotional because of his cognitive issues (real schizophrenia).

4. Other than that, there is little that is irrational about him. He has good memory and can make coherent arguments spanning paragraphs long. Even his suicide attempts are well thought out. Once, he tried starving himself to death instead of doing something impulsive.

Are you basing this on TV type schizophrenia?

I'm technically on paper as schizoaffective, so it's not technically -phrenic if we're going with that as a basis.

TC thinks he's schizoaffective, actually.

That's like the worst of bipolar, BPD and schizophrenia in one ugly, miserable package.

And yeah, I've seen him flip out and lose touch with reality, writing bizarre shit that made little to no sense.

He's kept it together with years of education, so it's more difficult to tell where his head's at by his writing, compared to somebody like MrOmega who had less formal education.

How much can any of us tell about anybody from his/her writing? Gender, maybe. Social class, sometimes. Whether or not the person's first language is English, usually. We can sometimes get a vague sense of the person's age and education level. And whether the person was educated in North America or western Europe. Anything else ppl write could be total fabrication. There's no proving or disproving it without careful cross examination. And who has time to interrogate everybody they meet? lol

Most of us on this forum are either completely full of shit, or creative LARPing weirdos, or both, anyway  :D

I'm more inclined to believe that TC is schizo than to believe he's transgendered.

It seemed more to me like a chicken or the egg thing between these two factors: Disconnection from Reality and Mood Swings.

-affective goes with mood swings preceding the disconnection from reality, stating that any psychotic breaks they're having are over a surge similar to bipolar's shifts.

-phrenic has the disconnection from reality at the forefront, and through it mood swings can occur as a result of their distorted idea of reality.

They keep going with me being -affective from seeming higher functioning, but I assure you the crazy is always there, it's more so once racing thoughts kick in that it becomes harder to manage.

Are they mutually exclusive? Schizos tend to report strange relationships with their own identity, so it seems like a schizo-tranny would be an easy conclusion.

 This^

Having worked with people that were diagnosed this, they don't act like tv portrays and it's pretty shit when people expect that, don't see it and so they must not really have it
