I agree! Salad gang

except meat. And if you’re vegan be weary of protein and dairy alternatives and what they are filled with.

a lot of food in general that says healthy, health food, or all natural, all organic, etc. this does not necessary mean it is actually healthy for you- and that eating it constantly will not have negative effects for your body.

this is why it’s best to keep it pure as possible.

another misconception about like, non-gmo, “all natural organic products” is you need to look at more than just that especially with fruit and meat.

some blueberries are filled with sugar. Packaged meat is filled with sodium and preservatives.

And most meat is not fat free, truly organic, with no additives and preservatives, grass fed, and horomone free.

Though it may not be entirely necessary for you to worry about horomone free and grass fed- this is something my functional medicine doctor / endocrinologist / dietitian / nutritionist / dermatologist prescribed for me to eat specifically for health reasons based on my blood work.

But yeah, diets and metabolisms and the way your body processes food is classified into several types and then within that umbrella everyone is still unique at the metabolic level in some way or another. Meaning that what the best diet is for you or what the healthiest food for you is, isn’t the same for everyone.

So yeah, be smart bout your diet & supplements it can change your life man, and drink water.

when I switched from eating salads I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I seriously will never go back to doing it any other way becuase it’s the only food that makes me actually feel good and have steady long lasting balanced energy everyday all day.

I don’t feel weighed down or heavy from eating it, you know? Like, sluggish or tired. But still full, without causing weight gain.

It’s actually so filling that I can manage to last on it all evening not needing to eat dinner, so it’s a lot easier to maintain caloric deficit and interval intermittent fasting. Not contributing to weight gain and getting the actual nutrients my body and brain need not only to sustain themselves well but also for the purpose of, things like immune and gut health, longevity of my internal organs and, hormonal balance.

If you haven’t joined salad gang yet idk what you’re waiting for. Just make sure it’s right for You with your doctor and after assessing your metabolic type.

Some people need more sodium and carb based diet, but I am in the type that thrives mostly on protein.

I also struggle with gluten intolerance, severe dairy allergy, hypoglycemia and extreme anemia. So this is just a diet that works for my body.

I don’t rely just on salads for my nutrition however I took take a lot of *prescription* supplements so yeah make sure you’re body is getting all the things.

If you are counting calories or fasting, consuming supplements and vitamins/ meds of any kind do not count as breaking a fast metabolically or toward your calorie count. Just wanting to clarify that as I’ve seen a lot of people on the internet have confusion in that area. So if you’re trying to fast don’t like, not take your psych meds or your vitamins etc. v important you do take them actually :p

but yeah, #saladgang dawg

my faves right now are olive gardens salad, Caesar salad with croutons, and Cobb salad by chic fil a with non breaded chicken and no cheese products on it and I put avacodo lime ranch on it

I also like to throw in some Craisins dried cranberries or green apple slices and some walnuts or dried tomatoes.

publix in the fruit and veggie area has tons of dressings and toppings to choose from and it’s so easy. Just get a veggie spring mix or I like to get the baby spinach veggie mix. You wanna go for the dark greens it’s more vitamin rich! And then yeah just buy random toppings whatever you feel like for that week and some spill proof Tupperware and then you can meal prep so easily.

I’ve heard Starbucks salads are really great but I haven’t tried them yet and if you’re on the west coast I highly recommend the Kylie Jenner salad.

Also Buca Di Peppo has some fucking bomb ass salads man!

There was this one salad I used to always eat at the place I worked I’ll have to look it up and show y’all the recipe because it’s bomb.

And lastly Pinterest or insta will have great salad recipes or health bowl recipes
