Raw veggies taste nicer than cooked, why make broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and so on, things that don't need to be cooked, be cooked, when we in fact, have no reason to cook most foods. When I go to a restaurant, I do not wish for them to ruin my veggies by scalding them until they don't taste as good and are soggy.
The point of cooking foods is to break them down and make the nutrients more available for absorption. It saves energy for your digestive system. I agree raw veggies are yummy but most are equally yummy if cooked the right way. Like, baked broccoli is nasty but steamed is delicious. Alternatively, roasted peppers have way more flavor than steamed.
Also, if your veggies are dirty and providing they're grown in pesticide free soil - eat them dirty! That's how we and animals make vitamin B12 - by soil bacteria mixing with our own
Idk if you should be eating most vegetables dirty, some people mix in manure, you should definitely be washing your veges.

Some things go without saying, Lena - I'm of the assumption that most people on this forum have a functioning brain, or half functioning at least. Maybe I'm mistaken. You'd obviously need to know where your veggies, and what soil they're grown in - if you were to eat them - dirt and all.

Hm, this is a good point.
I always wash my veggies
