On old SC it was not uncommon to have 40 fucked up, intellectuals online at once fighting tooth and nail. The trolling was psychological and smart and fun.  We knew each other and we e-punched each other in the face regularly and we lol'd. And in between that we helped each other. T'was glorious.

When was this?

SC's typically been on the slower side, and I can recall multiple times that it's been significantly slower than this.

Not simple CP posts and neo-nazi, ironically mainstream, edgy-ness.

We've always had that.

What's really changed is that a lot of our old cast is too soft to keep playing the game, hence this pseudo-pacifism and loads of fake hate on the dramas to distance themselves from them.

When someone's all like "Man I don't really hate anyone", "Why can't we just get along", "Say one good thing about a forum member", then we have a pussy trying to steer things, and they actually do the most damage.

I'm not sure when you joined. Anyone who is OG SC can see this is the final gasp of a weird and glorious community that formed in a small corner of the world, in a brief moment in time. It was a memorable prolonged moment that lead many of us to be SC addicts but alas, that moment passed (in 2017 tbh). I'm among the last to accept it.

Do you even know how many times SC has quote unquote "died", just to come back even more active than before?

This thing's an undercover phoenix. While having no real current means of regenerating the user base definitely sells stagnation to me, we've come back from slower sadder times.

While we never were pure socios our community was pro-sociopathic and it was fun. Now it is a soft, vanilla wafer to nibble warily while one passes a long, dark night... perhaps I just entertained myself here too long and I ache for the golden days.

The "golden days" are just nostalgia glasses with an older cast, more patience to type out their thoughts, and less memes. Only part I really agree with is over how everyone's too soft and guarded now, but I couldn't call times of our glorious past "golden days" without reminding myself of all the slow times way back when (there was a time that SC was just three people RPing).

If you want to contribute towards the older ideals, though, then you need to be less lazy and more brave/direct.

The people who frequented this dark corner of the web meant a lot to me. They were funny, cruel and kind  and they kicked the shit out of me during my darkest days. I miss them. It was a moment.

Which ones in particular?

@ topic, discuss it and if more then just cawk wants it, fine.

Eduard and I are the only ones who ever give enough of a shit about the site to suggest features. He's been pretending to be on vacation, so it's just me. Likely the rest of the members will be apathetic on the topic.

SC's ideals are about equality. Mods should not have perks over normal members except their mod tools.

Besides that, since you copied Discord's status system, I should let you know that Discord has an invisibility/offline status option as well.

Yeah thats fine. Can you make it that way that status saves even when I log out?

Like if I set to invisible and log out and later log in, I'm still invisible status until I change back to online or busy or whatever, that'd be nice

You're not one to judge others on that subject. You're not even willing to post the dox of a person who messes with you on the regular.

I haven't thought it's really needed anything else.

I do see others complain about stuff (like Blanc not being able to hide posts in her topics anymore), but if it's not a pressing enough concern on things that matter to me I tend to just forget about them.

What do you plan on using it for?

It was added for mods and admins purely for how it's helped for handling spammers in the past. Not being able to be seen when you're online makes it harder for people to predict a schedule, thereby disarming one of many spam plots.

Other than that use though what purpose would it serve?

How do you see her granting me all that free attention as a bad thing?

Like really why would I even post it? There's nothing to gain from it right now.

If I remember right, she asked for the gore pic to be removed by a mod, not to want to hide the post (with the option for others to still view it). Topic poster post hiding feature like on S-C was an overreach of Loona, as well as other features such as senate and reputation system. They are out of place here.

If you don't want to see somebody's posts, block them on your end and you won't. Hiding posts from everyone is censorship by authority, authority would be in that case, the topic poster.

Why are you even asking?

You are always in offline mode on Discord. Why are you being such a hypocrite?

Why?

and what cawk said about him and edvard being the only ones proposing ideas is bullshit

The only suggestions/changes I remember you ever pushed were on S-C and those were unban requests, concealed PR moves and trolling, "unban me im sry", "make tpg a senator", "legalize child rape" and shit like that.

don't add the option to appear offline, logging on and off does the trick just fine

No, it doesn't. Otherwise it wouldn't be used.

If you're too dumb to comprehend somebody is stepping up for your rights, that's fine. You can be excluded from those with the ability to use the feature.
