The modern day concept of race was created by colonizers to create an us v them mentality so the public think it's ok to enslave people of the other race. Humans have similar features because of ethnic groups. The difference in skin colour is because of adaption to colder places.
The modern concepts of race (white, black, asian) trace back to bible-era sumeria. The 3 ethnicities people in that group met were attributed to the 3 sons of Noah, and the notion spread to include all members of Europe as white, all members of Asia as asian (altho from their perspective they would hev been interacting with persians) and all members if africa as black.
The problems with this primative race theory is that
A) it created groups of race based on continental boarders which lumped every ethnic group within those boarders together
B) since people in other parts of the earth have been found, it is difficult to assign these people into any of the 3 established race groups, which were based on ethnic groups far from them.
In reality the old idea if race is crumbling away, but with it our understanding of smaller ethnic markers are growing stronger. There are no genes that ALL black people or ALL white people share. But, there are genes that are unique to individual communities (and that's how DNA genotyping [23&me, etc.] works)

I am not all that educated on this subject but I will speculate in hopes to drive the conversation further.
If all humans are 99.9% similar then there is .1% difference between humans. Our closest ancestors are Chimps and Bonobos and we share 99% similarity in DNA with them. Despite only a 1% difference we deviate quite a bit physiologically and neurologically. That makes me wonder how much variation that .1% can cause amongst groups.

Black people have bigger dicks, ears , lips, and noses because these areas have a lot of blood vessels close to the surface of the skin. Increased surface area helps expel heat to regulate their internal temp under the hot equatorial sun.
