I don't have a PD, dumb dumb lol
That shows just how bad you are at your imaginary job xP
That's what I'm saying.
If you were rlly all that and a PhD, you wouldn't need to come to some dead forum and call ppl names to feel better about yourself.
And you certainly wouldn't need to money flex for them.
The fact that you got so defensive about a small difference of opinion wrt the various schools of thought in the field is what gives you away. Anybody who's made it through third year knows how to whip off a clever ad hom without using vulgarities like 'dumb bitch.'
And they know how to agree to disagree without resorting to lameass narcissistic shaming tactics.
No, actually. Earning a PhD looks like years of thankless work with very little reward, tbh.
Not sure why you're so taken with tryinta prove to some woman on a forum that you're a god lol
And no, I never wanted a PhD
I wanted to dig up pieces of history, explore as many sides of humanity as possible within my lifetime, and help people in war torn regions of the world to find and mourn their dead loved ones.
So a Master's. But definitely not in psych. And definitely not for the sake of showing off on teh interwebz :P
I'm just saying that your worldview reeks of somebody with waaaaay too much to prove.
Most of the social scientists I've met aren't so condescending and narcissistic, or so easily offended by a little debate.
a lot of therapists are narcissists actually. this profession puts you in a position of power over vulnerable people, so it naturally attracts these types of characters.
The same can be said about teachers, doctors, police officers, etc.

I'll take it bc I've never spent a lot of time with therapists. I did meet quite a few research psychologists, tho. In school. Most of them had Skinner's exuberance and seemed to enjoy their work, and also seemed to genuinely like the people they worked with. As if they were working toward a vision that would ultimately make life better in their little corner of the world. If they were doing it all for narcissistic reasons, their acting skills were Leo DiCaprio tier bc I couldn't tell from talking to them.
Cops, yes. All too many of them are power tripping doucherags.
Maybe I was just lucky enough to have been able to work with teachers whose jobs hadn't sucked the life out of them, yet, but the teachers I've worked with all seemed to be the exact opposite of narcissistic. Spending all those unpaid hours marking tests and such, all the paperwork (or hours online ... w/e :P) for a rlly shitty paycheck. And the highest suicide rate of any profession... that doesn't look to me like a job that would appeal to narcs. And most of the teachers I've worked with were kind hearted, tho they looked exhausted all the time.
Doctors are different from the rest of us humans xD Some of them are just strange and morbid and not playing with the same moral compass as other humans, but also super smart about some things. A person would have to be a high functioning sociopath to get through all the years of cadaver classes, and the gore and slime and bodily fluids. Just yuck. That's why I went for studying things that have been dead so long they don't stink anymore xD
I suppose some doctors are narcissists, while some want to help people. Others may be overcompensating for some tragedy in their lives, like the soap opera storyline goes. I'm sure that still others are just fascinated by the science.
loool ok whatever. btw i think you are over idealizing having a phd. probably because you are so far from ever getting one. we must seem like gods to you from what you write :-DDDD
How'd you find SC?
