Was also in gymnastics
Neat, I also learned gymnastics from a Russian gymnast who'd almost made it as part of an Olympic Gymnastic Team when he was younger.
I also took up multiple martial styles, ballet, and multiple forms of dance.
but if someone screamed at me I could do it for some reason. Lol the pressure was immense to be perfect
Explains your choice of relationships amirite?
because if you don’t get everything exactly perfect then you will fall off and potentially hurt yourself really severely lol
That's the rush of it, having all you're doing ride on that one moment.
Nothing is more alive than a built up moment.
surprisingly after that I still did cheerleading competitions and was a flyer. You’d think I would of had a fear of heights by then but it didn’t occur to me.
The injury couldn't have been that bad then, right? Or were you more like Pep Squad than the fucking child acrobats of today?
and finally with the dance I broke my leg. I pushed as hard as I could go during a summer intensive program and I was literally on stage doing a performance and the coach had to pull me Off. She wasn’t for me dancing on it when it was clearly injured but I wanted to finish the performances.
Explains why you never leave your home.
she was worried I would further injur it because I just wouldn’t stop lol
A singing instructor went at me similarly over singing in an adult opera style as a kid, and now it's gone forever.
These people think they're doing a favor, but sometimes they really aren't.
my parents engrained in me I wasn’t allowed to quit so I just would not quit
Unlike nowadays amirite?
after that spent so long in a cast even after physical therapy it wasn’t the same so I just did theater to sort of fill the void that not being able to dance left
I’ll always miss it cuz it was my life so. I still go to a lot of the performances and see people I know still performing haha
Can you still do anything impressive from your former training? You should show it off.
