Your son is also unlikely to go so that's not a source of worry for you either, this sort of thing would actually affect those in this lower to poverty class. As for suicide rates in Africa those have steadily begun to climb with it affecting more young men.

I'm pretty sure that at least half of the suicides that happen are the accidental result of epic bouts of attention whoring.
And at least as many who succeed at suicide fail on purpose.
