suicide, vanity and optimism

"Only optimists commit suicide, optimists who no longer succeed at being optimists. The others, having no reason to live, why would they have any to die?"

By Emil Cioran, Romanian philosopher, I liked this quote because it reveals the irony of suicidal ideation

I read something on Reddit yesterday that sounds like it makes sense, but I haven't actually looked into it. So probably information to take with a grain of salt. Apparently when suicidal people make up their mind they are going to jump into the next dimension, they feel happy and at ease. To outsiders, it looks like an improvement in their situation. But it's actually when you should be paying the most attention.

suicide comes from an excess of rationality- paul ree

however the above mentioned aphorism is not comprehensive enough, there are indeed cases of suicide (and perhaps the majority of suicide cases fall in this category) where the motive was no more than mere spite, utterly banal and repulsive

It ignores the existence of suffering

I'm pretty sure that at least half of the suicides that happen are the accidental result of epic bouts of attention whoring.

And at least as many who succeed at suicide fail on purpose.

Guess why. You got it. They love to hear ppl say "don't do it, we need you."

I prefer to tell ppl that my foul, mouthy self will live long enough to piss on all their graves  :D

And yeah, suicide is the bougee-est thing in the world.

How often do you see starving people in Africa or wherever going "boohoo Imma kill myself if u don't tell me u love me"?

They don't. They hack off your arms with an axe and rape your wife and steal all your shit for being a rich white colonizing asshole missionary.

The middle class and their psych disorders are getting so annoying.

We already had our plague. Now we need a good war, and mandatory military service to get rid of some more of those whiners.
