Sorry, but I don't feel like explaining myself, so I won't. You do sound a bit confused, and that's completely my fault, so I will at least try to clarify. If you go back to the original1 post, you'll see that AppleGenius made a thread titled Spite, with only a one line body: "Who are you?" I found this amusing. I thought it was a silly way to word the question on an anonymous forum, clearly they really asked, "Do we know each other?" because I previously wrote to them (not sure what they identify as yet) in a familiar way on a separate thread, the same thread2  you referenced in your second question, I believe. But that's far besides the point. To ask your first question about what motivated my writing of a separate thread over simply responding to his, is almost to ask "Why do threads exist?"

I think the answer is simple; threads exist to keep our thoughts and conversations organized. If we all had different conversations in the same thread, it becomes hard to follow. Users begin large quote chains that span the length of my monitor and then some. It's tedious and easy to lose sight of things. That is why AppleGenius felt it necessary to start a new thread.. he recognized what would have happened had asked in that thread and didn't want to add to it. The thing is, there wasn't much for me to say. That's why I felt it best to write another thread.. to leave room for another conversation in the Spite thread. I left it up to others to answer. But, I said it's almost to ask, and that's not really what you asked, now was it?

Your question was much more straightforward than that. "Why did you do this?" "This makes no sense... why?" It's a valid set of questions. Two of them, not to be too precise. Why did  I do this? It makes no sense... why would I do that?  It almost felt like I heard myself ask these questions. It's amazing how the Internet can connect to people in such way. Perhaps it was not the Internet, but a personal connection between you and I... I wonder. Although, I think more likely it was just because I read your questions to myself silently. Now, to the question, why would anyone do this?

The only way I can explain is by asking you to do something. chimpi, look in a mirror and ask yourself what you see. Look into the mirror, and return to what you see in it. That's all I can offer at this time, I'm sorry if this was all still a bit confusing. I hope that helped answer your question.
