I get it, people shouldn't be offended by it, but they are cause they have been in situations where the resentful called them a nigger in anger.
For any black person that comes here 9 out of 10 times they'll think of you as a racist. In my opinion I think you want them to think you are cause it brings you joy.I see what you're saying here. I can only speak for myself, but I think Xadem is of a similar mindset: Racial humor is funny because it's offensive and transgressive. It's not actually like I am focused on race—I don't even think we've ever had a serious discussion about it in the 5 years or more that we've known each other. Not a important topic. I think people conflate offensive humor/shock value with actual opinions. It's a bad time to be an edgelord.
Racial humor is funny. I enjoy it. In the real world we can get away with it in many cases. The word nigger is fine among acquainted circles for some, but to losely say it every single day is a bad practice. These days the word is as offensive to white people just the same, and I mean established white people in which speaking that word will end their success.
Not everyone is blessed with tolerance or able to be indifferent enough to laugh or feel no way when a complete stranger starts throwing around racially charged derogatory smack talk. Sometimes the same rhetoric comes from a more genuine persona.
Nigger is the only true curse word in 2020. It's bad for business, and people, ( especially key people ) will detach themselves from those who have a loose tongue for it cause it'll reflect on the associates. Not even the F word has this much destructive power. It's a double edged sword.
