Hi Feathers,
I've read a few of your posts, and I find them interesting. I've met a few other religious "crackpots" (I don't mean crackpot offensively, I love crackpots, it's delightful to see that you take pride in being one) who seemed quite interesting.
I have a question for you:
How would you see your life change if you lost your religion?
I'm genuinely interested. I find it fascinating how religious crackpots find warmth in knowing that they will see their family after they die, while rationalists try to convince them how cruel reality is. And how wrong crackpots are. I won't do that. I think the world's a more wondrous place with a few loonies around.
Nevertheless, I'd like to hear your answer.
Hey Legga just seen this...
How would my life change if I found out there's no God? I'd just kill myself. Why not? I can protect people from me and myself from others. Sounds like the safest route.
I refuse to be someone's victim or witness other people be victims without a day of recompense. As Tryp said people with religious views tend to be high on justice as a value. I can't stand that there's someone out there especially a child being abuser, smirking and getting away with their evil deeds. There must be a God to see it and PUNISH THEM.
It's not about seeing my friends and family again. I mean that's cool... If my family was saved that is (I wish). It's more about someone punishing every evil action. Not letting one evil go unseen, unheard or unpinished. I know how cruel reality is and that's why there must be a judge at the end. Someone who will rush in on the seen at the end of the age on a horse and judge between every thought and deed.
This includes all the evil in me It must be purged day by day and I must "die to self" as the bible says. I need to purge any evil thoughts or deeds within me. I need to make this world a better place. I live not for myself but for God and others. I'm literally only alive and going to school for the sake of spreading the gospel and work for the kingdom of God.
If you really care to learn watch these carefully...
Then you'll understand me.
