Yeah I forget about the heat because I’m used to it, lived here all my life but
if you’re from up north you’re going to have a hard time breathing lol
it’s oppressive heat, feels like walking through an oven. The second you step outside you start sweating. The ground burns your feet. You can’t touch metal objects that have been outside- like seat belts in your car. A lot of ppl burn themselves.
ppl die every summer from the heat just kneeling over usually elderly, in younger ppl you see heat stroke.
stay hydrated, WEAR SUNSCREEN AND A HAT, SUNGLASSES. YES PUT THE SUNSCREEN EVERYWHERE. don’t miss the ears scalp, under the bathing suit, and the FEET. But don’t put it too close to your eyes as the oils will slowly slip into them and they’ll be burning for hours! Stay above the eye brow. Leave an inch around the entire eye space. Trust me. And don’t touch your fucking eye after you have touched the sunscreen bottle. Srsly.
sun poisoning is a real thing, and if you spend a day at the beach drinking alcohol, no water, no sunscreen you will be very ill the next day and regret it.
Breathing the humid air feels like breathing through a sock and it’s usually so bright and sunny you can’t see without REALLY GOOD sunglasses.
The life guards and golfers etc. athletes use Oakley and ray ban.
designer shut like Gucci for example isn’t good enough.
if you wear a sweater in Florida outside you are insane, and you will pass out or throw up. If you’re out of shape you’ll have a pretty hard time in this heat.
Dont swim in brackish water, especially not the st.john. The lakes too. It’s all riddled with harmful bacteria, and gators dude. I’m not shitting you. The St. John alone has hundreds. Don’t go marching around in the forested areas. The swamps. Rivers. Tall grass. Wekiva. All the springs. You will see gators dude, in the water, with you. If you see one, stay away, especially from the tail. They will knock you off your feet with it.
there’s also beachy areas alongside the highways. Beaches near the road, are not safe beaches. You will see tourists getting in the water but they are dumb. Don’t go in the water near the any highways. Aghhhh Lol so much gators.

oh and after 5pm it starts getting buggy outside and you’ll want bug spray but even that doesn’t help much. Don’t recommend camping for that reason. It’s just bug central oof. Not fun. Mosquitos, horse flies, etc. they bite and it suckssss how much it itches. So yeah everyone kind of goes inside after 5pm in Florida lol

U can see in the scenery what the reality of Florida looks like like, that’s yep- that’s what it looks like.
‘’the ppl here also drive pretty bad. Um, like no one will let you over, they will fuck you so u need to be uh, very defensive driver and keep an eye out constantly for ppl being a dumb ass. Like just assume the ppl around u aren’t paying attention because they’re not.
