Why are you showing me the new iOS as if I haven’t seen it before, when that’s precisely what I’m talking about in the title of this thread referring to the new iOS.

please stop being such a cunt about android vs. Apple dude, like I said I like learning about all technology man.

Did I not just give Apple some credit in this thread though ?

I'm not showing you iOS14, I'm showing you iOS14 tutorials so you'll know how to use the "widgets" feature that is a part of iOS14, which is pretty much what you're asking about.

If you want your twitter to be on or around your home screen, then you will need a twitter widget. A little window you can squash and stretch and place on the home screen wherever you like ( thought iOS widgets seem to snap on to invisible grids and lacks some other scaling options.) From what I've gathered, iphone doesn't have very many widgets yet, but rest assure they will be popping up in the app store, probably for free. Maybe you can use a browser widget in the meantime.

anywho, this thread was about altering Notification Center a bit and if you could show me a phone that does what I described then I’d be into it. Even if its jail broken I just would want to see my idea come to fruition.

I see you drafting out your widget ideas as if you have no idea you can upgrade and make it happen now. If you followed along you would have already installed iOS14 & you'd make real progress.

As for notifications....

I cleared them but here's what I'm seeing. 2 youtube videos and a voice message I kinda hid. I don't recall subscribing to this Carey Wedler.

The youtube notification at the top, I'm able to slide it down to get a better view of the thumbnail, with some options.

Does the video playback from my notification tab ? No, I can only launch it.

Mobile devices need to run efficiently so by default it will not play video in the notification tab which will eat the battery and memory, though my device in particular is rocking 12GB of RAM so it's actually possible for it to do such things that aren't practical.

I just got a twitter account. I do get notifications with imagery with actual Twitter in my notifications, and I can view the actual tweet, same shit with other social media.

Things like images sent to us through texts also displays in the notifications.

Discord notifications..... give us the text AND the users avatar in the notifications tab

I gotta say, I've had this type of discussion a very long time ago. Nobody talks about notifications now lol. But yes, on Android notifications are more than just texts, I now see how the typical Android user takes this stuff for granted, but it's been around for a long time you see.

Now don't get upset, because you asked for mobile tech that can do these things, we don't have many options out there so Android does it again. I'm not saying stuff to make you scoff, but for what you want. Android's widget and notification system is far more robust than iOS 14's.
