I haven't drank since and I have 0 desire to drink again :) Yay me lol
Why do you drink anyway? Predisposition only means that if you feel you need to drink, you may not be able to stop. Why do you feel you need it? I hear you are fat. You know, if you get skinny, you will feel better about yourself and then you will not need alcohol as much. I know you don't crave it anymore, but think about improving your quality of life and this may permanently fix your need to drink.

and he drinks because he struggles with alcoholism, like he's said it runs in the family. but he's overcoming it and doing a fantastic job, I'm very proud.

Why would you send some random dude your nudes while you were dating him, if he is so attractive? Also, people don't just drink because they are addicted. You have to decide to drink. You have to say, this will do something good for me, so I will do it. You aren't born with a drink in your mouth. There is an intermediate step where you have to say that there is something missing, and you have to decide to bring it into your life. Maybe the alcoholism that runs in his family told him that alcohol was missing from his life, but when he goes to the store to get the alcohol, he is sober, so there is something else that is either missing that is supposed to tell him that he doesn't need it because everything in his life is going well, or there is something that he doesn't like about his life that makes the trip to the store more likely. Either way, he needs to fix whatever he is not enjoying in his life, since the urge to drink will always be there, if you say it is in his genes.
