it can result in women’s harm, ultimately. Whether it’s being made fun of by a group of men who are her co-workers, to, being fired or held back from positions, to, physically or sexually assaulted, verbally harassed, and even murdered.
There is a whole category of criminal dedicated just to these kind of men, who when rejected by a woman, kill or rape them due to a strong belief in entitlement to their body.
I’m lucky to be alive, the reason I am today is because- though many times no one intervened, it was truly like, god or, universe fate bull shit. Some nosy neighbor happened to be peaking into our apartment in the late hours of the night- where I was being choked to death. It was quite a while before he said anything, so I’m guessing he just happened in glance over in that moment- just noticing the scene.
But I truly believe he would have murdered me right then and there, beacuse he wasn’t letting up any time soon or lessening the grip at all, when I tried to get words out to tell him to stop he just squeezed tighter and, tighter over time.
A neighbor just said from, across the way, “HEY, LET GO OF HER. LET GO OF HER” and at first he didn’t stop. He said he was going to call the police, and shamed him for what he was doing or provoked him in some way I can’t remember- but it was enough to poke holes in his tiny fragile, highly inflammatory ego. He walked over to the window to argue with him, and thankfully it gave me time to breath but, yeah I think I remember him saying something like, “oh bull shit the cops don’t give a fuck if i beat a woman” or something like that.
But then the guy across the way said, “i guess I’ll just call them then and we can find out” or something like that
but yeah, saved my life

So... you're saying we shouldn't make fun of women because they're too weak to defend themselves, or because men are too mentally weak to help themselves?
I think you're focusing on the gender binary a little too much, and that you're mostly doing it to justify your own learned helplessness by proxy.
Just because you're a woman doesn't mean that you have to be weak. Take a martial arts class or something and take some personal responsibility.
