That'd imply they are both equally important, which I believe is clearly not the case. The US has systemic and deep-rooted issues with racism and police brutality. It doesn't have a systemic rioting problem.

 It has a cultural outrage problem which often leads to rioting and looting. Doesn't help that some people just want to steal Jordans from the mall and use a crisis to get away with it. There's a tendency among a block of the US population to react with emotion and hurt their own cause.

I don't support the riots per se but I fully understand and support the protesting. Two wrongs don't make a right. However, I also kind of think focusing on the riots is a bit of a red herring.

 peaceful protest only does so much. guaranteed if all people were doing was walking around with signs and chanting, things wouldn't be moving so speedily. no one riots out of nowhere, it's a reaction.

i think thats what it takes to get things moving. people were being murdered with no accountability. civil disobedience is a historic way of making significant changes

Protests don't work anymore in that there's too many official requirements to even organize one. 

Riots are the only reason topics like Qualified Immunity will even be tackled. At this point the government's stuck making doomsday plans for when/if the people turn on them (using Crypto as their currency even) while Trump  hides in  inspects a bunker.

The police have training for this sort of thing, and a civic duty to uphold it. They should be held responsible for what they do in their positions of authority much more than commoners and plebs. As is we have side groups funding their people to become cops so that their own agendas fall under Qualified Immunity, and this ought to be concerning to you. 

People meanwhile have to go this far for anything to get done. Have you not been watching how blatantly The News is essentially a cop subsidiary? 

It isn't civil disobedience because it isn't "civil". It's just violent rioting. Also, they're not targeting many things that are relavent to their fight, they're just targeting the nearest things in sight to smash. Maybe they should take their riots to the people who actually are at fault and leave the little guy's storefront alone.

It's not as violent as the news outlets want it to look. 

Check some livestreams, shit even a lot of the news clips aren't convincing (like CNN's). 

Also, they're not targeting many things that are relavent to their fight, they're just targeting the nearest things in sight to smash.


Maybe they should take their riots to the people who actually are at fault and leave the little guy's storefront alone.

You'd get more out of questioning the mentality of those organizing their behaviors.
