Does that seem right to you?
Not sure you're even allowed to quote a black person tbh.
Maybe this is my emancipation
A corporation can make their logo black, but when I make my face black it's called racism.

a logo and a face aren’t the same thing you silly rabbit
when a logo does it, it’s solidarity, it’s representation, it’s recognition.
When your face does it, it’s like cultural appropriation but worse.
I’m probably not the person to speak on this, but you can look up on youtube “why blackface is offensive” and I’m sure there are plenty of people explaining it in further detail so we can all educate ourselves and understand why it is important and why it matters.

I think it's less culture appropriation when it comes to blackface. Blackface was more in minstrel shows and used to mock black people without having to actually use black people in those shows(until much later) so that the audience and performers get safer, superior.
If a black person wanted to get into the show business they had to use blackface as a mask.
Blackfishing would be closer to cultural appropriation as they use black aesthetics, and culture to sell and be more relatable without having to go through any of the things black people usually do.

A logo is literally a company's face though
Why can't I make my face black in solidarity with Georgie?
Besides, I feel like Reddit just appropriated St. Nicholas, the Belgian/Dutch festivity where black pete comes from. Blackface is only offensive to Americans
UGH why can't I just dress up like a fucking nigger for Halloween?!
Face it, you're going to have to Trick or Treat as Eminem this year.
