Yeah... the Slay drama was similar too. The lengths she'll go to appease her own self-concept though is kinda scary. 

She's hopeless in love, finds it embarrassing, doesn't identify her history as making sense when compared to her construct ideal of herself, and then she rationalizes that she must not have meant it. 

Imagine living thinking you can do no wrong, it'd need this level of coping strategy. 

I think she needs help in that regard.

The whole goal of this is to appear to be a desirable person who is already in a relationship because of their traits. And the expression of that is a way to cope with insecurity. I think she needs help in that regard.
