xad you're not eating enough

I eat enough I average around 1500 - 1800 kcal a day now which is healthy + I exercise plenty

At your height and weight, an estimate of your bmr is 2010 kcal, and exercising on top of that means you burn even more.

Your bmi is currently in the healthy range, so unless you wanna keep losing weight I suggest you start eating more again. bmi, however, is also a pretty inaccurate measurement system as it doesn't take into account personalised bone density/muscle mass/etc. If you really wanna know what's up with your body I suggest measuring your body fat percentage, you can get calipers online super cheap and that's at least more accurate than bmi, even if it's also not perfect.

plus, if you're under eating you're going to be losing muscle mass, just something to consider.

It also sounds, though I'd need more details to be sure, like you're not eating enough protein.

For your height/weight you need to be eating 157g protein per day just for maintenance. that goes up to 167g for fat loss and 194g to gain muscle.

I'd also suggest that the numbers above are minimums, because eating a high protein diet is considered by many (myself included) a very good thing.

also bare in mind that for example 100g chicken does not equal 100g protein. in fact 100g chicken breast is 31g protein. another example, 100g salmon is 20g protein :)

Yeah this happened to me too.

So easy to lose, so hard to get back.

I'm eating better now, but to touch on that, aren't eating disorders mostly psychological? the things to look out for is *why* you feel the need to go on diet/fast and eat the amounts that you do. e.g. if I do'nt have body image issues, don't feel crippling guilt after eating pizza, and don't have an urge to cleanse or punish myself, then I should not worry about bulimia or anything like that.
