I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here. Yes, the weaker americans will become casualties, but preppers always have more guns and bigger guns than non-preppers. Anyone who spent the time building up months of supplies has the arms to protect it.

This single question occupied us for the rest of the hour. They knew armed guards would be required to protect their compounds from the angry mobs. So just like a said, when non preppers start trying to rob the preppers, they will be shot by the preppers. Worst case senerio, years go by, society's boundries collapse. American preppers are now out of supplies and seige canadian preppers who don't have guns.

Hint: In a total breakdown of gvt type of apocalyptic scenario in Canada, the organized crime types would take over the big cities with 500k or more people. And they do have guns. Outside of those twenty or so cities, this country is mostly the type of brutal climate and icy wilderness that destroyed Napoleon and Hitler's armies when they tried to invade Russia.

Not quite. 

The MMA fighters in this case were the highly adapted poor, those who can survive despite less food and increased toil, while the pyramid schemers are the rich and their "workforce", how someone with supplies and wealth can find themselves like Negan from The Walking Dead. 

It is in this case the pyramid schemer who has the guns, but if we were to flip it and have it be more like one well prepped family and their neighbors? How quickly do you imagine bunker types turning on their fellow man? Here's Twilight Zone's thoughts on the matter.

The point is that so many people in America have guns that the difference between preppers and non-preppers would be negligible. There would simply be lots of casualties on both 'sides'.

Who is this "we"? Do you figure Spatial and Misscomm are top notch survivalists just because of their passport's locale? 

America looks pretty damn bad as a whole, but I'd largely say it's over the squeaky wheel. For all the ones who can't seem to practice germ survival strats, there's those who are being extra cautious who aren't making statistics. 

Basically, enough of the US is dumb to make it harder on the rest of us.

The Walking Dead is a joke, now.

It was great for the first 4 seasons, dragged stupidly along for 2 more, and then had a good run with Negan.

Negan and the Governor were excellent and very believable bad guys.

But... GAH. Alpha? SRSLY? Even with that hulking psychopath behind her, it shouldn't have taken 2 whole seasons to take her out. And I find it extremely difficult to believe that such a bland, annoying little woman had the charisma to make all those people do her bidding. She certainly didn't have the intimidation factor going for her. 

And even if you can suspend your credulity long enough to sort of watch it out of some sadistic hatred for humanity, the numbers are all wrong. Zombies can't procreate, so all they have in terms of numbers are the formerly living population of the US to turn.

So 340 million. Or for the sake of the show and the group, the combined population of GA, the Carolinas, VA Maryland and DC is roughly 40 million.

Now take 2000 survivors (and that's a very conservative estimate) each putting down 10 zombies every day. That's over 7 million zombies every year. Then there are hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms and the like. Don't even get me started on the bugs and the stray dogs. 

TWD is into year 10 of the apocalypse ffs. Every zombie in the entire country should have been wiped out in half that time, and Alpha's horde never should have been  :P

It's been a joke.

That was entirely on the back of that actor. He's amazing, but he jumped in as the show was already mid-descent. 

It'd been bad, but now it's so bad that even Fear The Walking Dead got hit. It's crazy to see how many writers they've gone through, the show shouldn't have coasted this far.

The only thing that makes the zombie situation even somewhat believeable is over how even those alive are already infected, changing how death itself is treated as opposed to just seeing a "zombie horde" that was generated from the beginning. 

If you can believe that large groups of people tried and failed to survive the zombie apocalypse, and that they constitute the fresher dead that haven't become one with nature to the point of birds feeding on the worms in their eye sockets, then it's that much easier to suspend disbelief. 

They to the 3D graphics department's credit have shown the zombies becoming more melt-y as time goes on. They're straight up treated like a weather condition now.

The hypothetical scenario in question was her grand apocalypse where world governments folded and yadda yadda.

My point was that the average rugged Canadian would know their home terrain better than some American prepper who gets his/her survivalist scenarios from yt vlogs and videogames. A good percentage of Americans (outside of military types with cold weather training) just would not be prepared for the climate.

There's more to "strength" than muscle, guns, fighting skill or strategy, though all are important qualities for survival in tough times.

My grandfather's bunkmates at Sunnybrook referred to the quality as heart.

It's what's all the best people have left when their guns, their money, and other commodity fetish objects are gone. 

From what I've seen, Canadians and Americans aren't so different person-to-person.
