Here's where I'm at currently (2 hrs ago)

I'm satisfied with how I look, I've had lots of ups and downs over the last year, especially with COVID repeatedly shutting gyms though I've still worked out more in the last year than any year preceding it. I'm 85kg and my goal is to stay lean and just keep cutting fat and replacing the weight with muscle. I find inspiration through music and in the physiques of ancient greek sculptures

I'm confident going into 2021 that I will continue to improve myself physically and emotionally. Though I have a lot of self induced setbacks, including a current life crisis of my own creation, and issues yet to resolve, I'll keep working on them

I always find myself drawn back to this site when things take a turn for the worse in life, it satisfies whatever immoral thoughts start creeping up and I eventually get so steeped in darkness that I can go no deeper and feel compelled to change and give normal life another go, this cycle has been repeating since I was 16. Each time I stay away longer and progress further

thanks alice xoxo

Also in terms of training I've entirely stopped powerlifting style routines. I always felt ashamed to do bodybuilding style routines as I told myself they were vain and it was more important to focus on strength (another poor decision driven by insecurity). I've gotten over this though. I've just started a few weeks ago a PPL routine 6 days a week. I need to find a way to cut down the length of each workout as it's taking too much time out of my day, currently at 2 hours approx I want to get it down to 1.5 hours a day.

Truth is I don't particularly care about strength anymore above a minimum threshold I've set for myself which exceeds that of most guys I'll meet for ego validation. I'm more focused now on a balance between strength, longetivity/health, aesthetics, and cardio endurance.

Comparing the pic on the first page and now, the difference is amazing. Congrats! For 85kg you look very lean. Good genetics.

Don't neglect flexibility training. I made that mistake - took me years correcting certain areas after I'd stopped "body building."

Little tip: if you want a bigger chest, make sure your lats and pecs minor don't get tight as you'll end up with rounded shoulders, thus creating the opposite of what you want. Too many people just focus on chest exercises - this is a common mistake. Focus on scapula health, with exercises that work mid/lower traps, rhomboids and horizontal pulling exercises. In doing so, your posture will remain upright making your chest look bigger as a result.

chest is definitely the area i wanna improve most, thanks for the advice. i bought a foam roller for flexibility but i gotta actually start to use it haha. in terms of horizontal pulling my new routine has T-bar rows and barbell rows 2x a week so hopefully time will give me some better development there
