It might help if people start redirecting their private convos to here. If an SC user messages you on discord, tell them to PM you here instead.

Drama mongering threads bring people in. Let's solve the problem by making lots of threads about why other people here are terrible. : )

In a situation where we assume the nuking is happening, we'd just need to make a topic with people's discord names. 

Someone (like me) would put them all in a notepad file or add them all as a precaution.

Topics about how great people are works to keep them somewhere, while topics about how awful they are tends to draw them from hiding.

Topics about how great people are works to keep them somewhere, while topics about how awful they are tends to draw them from hiding.

poaching activity is a bad way to put it. i get it that people want everything to be concentrated in one place (this site), but it was never going to be that way. the skype groups did the same thing, now there's the discord groups and more people use discord. there are also people who prefer using the discord platform, so probably alena, slay, dani, brat, sugar, and myself, although i tend to look on both the site and the discord.

increasing activity here is gonna require a few basic things because no one wants to downgrade features. so for instance people can listen to music together on discord. we had the video player feature on s-c and we need it back. there can even be chat integration with discord, like a discord tab, that was already a thing on edge community.

I'd love to see discord nuked, but I think if people enjoy it, it would be shitty to take away this option from them. It bears a risk to splitting/killing the community, but keeping people hostage is not the answer for activity, lmao.

There's still a matter of how much it will or won't snowball. If the place looks and feels empty, it will stay that way, whereas if traffic can be inspired to come here then others will follow. 

It's a matter of demand, as demand trends once it passes a point.

 You can't take away anyone's options when anyone can literally create a server without having to pay or having any skill. It's also different when we're all sitting in a server as opposed to some members creating their own. The latter would make them return eventually for the company of those who aren't in their server.

how so? people rarely used that feature after 1 - 2 weeks

thats because putting up a video one deems notable (otherwise one wouldnt post it in the first place, aye) into the video list is a waste. most members will not be present to see it

its better to post videos as posts for maximum exposure

 how would that do any good? it just advertises the server to those who are on the forum
