Why do other people's perspectives not interest you? You just act like their attention's a fuel source without any care or discernment for it's flavor.

It's like living life without taste buds but still having the urge to eat.

Other peoples perspectives do interest me as by looking at multiple perspectives I can look passed my own bias easier to find reality as what may somtimes be an average between it all

Philosophy dares to try to observe the pillars of existence and apply meaning towards it, and if you care about a perspective beyond your own on this matter then you do actually care about philosophy.

Philosophy is essentially if you attempted to compromise between Psychology and Existentialism.

I hate it when people try to overcomplicate something when it "just is".

For real, what in life even "just is"? EVERYTHING has a deeper underlying explanation.

The only things I've ever seen someone say "just is" or "just are" are things they haven't put even nearly enough thought into. Everything has depth, and the only thing worth complaining about over it is over how much time and energy can end up spent on it.

Those who assume there must be more to things are smarter or otherwise more inquisitive people, while those who accuse others of "making it too much", over scale instead of accuracy, are willful idiots.

Shut the hell up already. Saying somthing just is does not mean there is no deeper explanation. You know what my philosophy is? Science.

Did BR come on here to defend you from you becoming emotional over the website?

This shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Saying somthing just is does not mean there is no deeper explanation.

That's precisely what it means.

You know what my philosophy is? Science.

It's loosely considered a science, but then again so is a degree in "Apparel Merchandising", as is "Interior Design" and "Game Design" for some reason.

Basically being like "It's science man" is kind of a nothing statement. Something isn't suddenly impressive because "Science", Science is just what shows how something is impressive.

You know what I mean. My philosophy is physical. "Who am I?" A homosapein with the legal name of (blank) what is coinciousness? (A question that while we dont have full understanding of how it is caused, we know it is being conscious aka awake or aware, and that said state is created by the body and mainly the brain. What is life? Life or living is the status or action of an active organsim as long as it's "running" to some degree. And yes you can go deeper than that on all these things, but philosophy in general tends to find a "pretty way" and a "moral or spiritual" explanation to basic (but not simple) assed questions and answers. Even morals or rules themselves (which tend to be one of the main points of philosophy) shouldnt be concrete, because life is so complicated and so is reality that it all depends on context and so many factors which can be difficult to determine. and what is morality? Fuck the pretty answers, morality is an evolved empathy or social structure that social creatures made to survive and for the benefit of their species and by extension themselves. Hence why dogs being heavily social are "moral" and fucking lizards dont give a shit. When we say we exist to love one another, we say that typically because we are social creatures and it furthers the betterment of our species and we have the instinct to make more of ourselves or reproduce, and that if we are "loving" the group is more likely to ensure our survival. Having a philosophy isnt always idiotic, but most philosophies are glorified wistful thoughts or manipulation to make people more "loving" hence why i say philosophy in general. You know why i love my husband? Because i have an instinctual need to reproduce and stay in monogamy to ensure the safety of myself and my offspring.

Stoicism is all about rationality(and logic) and it is a philosophical idea

 What is stoicism?

Philosophical teaching where the most important virtue is to live wisely. In stoicism to live wisely means to make rational decisions without letting emotions influence your decision making. It does not abolish emotion, it only teaches you not to let it influence you. It also teaches justice and being social, even political and taking action.

It does not shame emotion and it even says that the initial emotional reaction to anything is normal and is to be treated with indifference. According to stoicism, most things are indifferent, especially if you don't overindulge in them.

It teaches you to be blunt and direct, using simple terms that accurately describe what you are trying to communicate.

Cheery bye!

so basically a more flexable and adaptable "moral" compass that can apply to a wider variety of situations than our current emotion based society. This would benifit humanity better as a species if we could evolve more in this direction. Which I obviously want because i am human and it is my instinct to want that.
