You win some you lose some.
I don't trade everyday for this reason, on days when the market trades side ways and there's gap downs you can get very fucked.
S&P 500 is up in the 5 day. Pumps will happen, this is especially imminent when the feds and the US government implements the 6 trillion dollar stimulus into the economy. With that, holding onto a good stock will be a good thing, cause as the USD loses purchasing power, the value of the stock itself will go up.
Professional investors know this and will take advantage of it. For the average trader, you gotta ask yourself, where will you place your value while the economy itself is in critical condition.

Average investors should ask themselves that but they don't. It's why most investors don't succeed at obtaining a lot of wealth, they get in and out late and call losses. The funny thing about that though, they are the ones making the rich richer by enabling the rich to sell high.
The point is there is fear in the market, and even though people hear they should invest, they won't until things seem more stable, by then it will be late to get in.
This pandemic will be the biggest transfer of wealth I've ever lived through. As far as stocks goes, it's not just the market recovering that will yield more gain, but it'll be inflation driving the stock prices up. Most average investors won't be onboard for that. It's really a question of when, but it's coming for sure.
On the bright side you'll have more money, but then everything will also more a little more expensive which really adds up.
Tipped a girl 5$ last night at a McDonalds's, hope is that she will remember my face and give me free sauce next time and maybe a McChicken. She had a blank look on her face though, kept talking about how she wasn't allowed to take tips. Not sure if she will be able to hook me up, I think this one is just an L.

Definitely a swing play, don't hold onto this one too long.
