Once upon a time SC had a tight crew of about 10+ members who were committed to posting here. They cared about each other and enjoyed each other's company.

SC has changed a lot since the original was deleted. There seems to be a lot less concern and even a bit of glee when long-time members leave. On top of that someone who was not previously a member of "the family" is now running things.

So is SC still a family? Do you care about the members who have left, and are you fond of those who remain? What are your thoughts on the future of this micro-culture that exists here? Is the tight personal connections between users becoming too eroded for SC to maintain a unique and interesting culture in the future? Does anyone have guesses as to how long SC will live before it's shut down completely? And finally, is it possible for SC to turn back the clock and return to a time when the users took more of an interest in each other?

SC is no longer true to its original message, which is why it has fallen victim to the pains that many online communities suffer from. To put it bluntly, it's like any online community now. The mysticism is gone

 Its still the same

its just a lot of the closeness is on discord.  Its been that way for the 2 years ive been here though so I doubt this is any news to anyone.

Plus the discord servers look more and more like forums, with tons of chat tabs for different topics. Its somewhat limiting but good enough for the Adolf/Reaper/Volky gang and a few others

but no, SC hasnt changed from what I can view of the SC1 threads. its uncannily the same from the threads and responses/arguments

Fallen victim to what?

When i joined the mysticism was still there.  It was extremely difficult to figure out wtf was going on and who was who because everything was an inside joke or a longstanding rivalry

But once you get to know about 10 members at a personal level, then yeah, the mysticism is gone and youre part of the cult.  Leave = we kill you

It never really seemed all that "mystical" to me beyond watching the tipping point be reached that led to cannibalism.

If you check the old Nabble records they're cringy as hell.

So Luna was more a member of this 'family' than me? I don't know if that should be taken as a compliment or an insult, so I will take it as a compliment.

Cheery bye!
