Is SC still a family?

Once upon a time SC had a tight crew of about 10+ members who were committed to posting here. They cared about each other and enjoyed each other's company.

SC has changed a lot since the original was deleted. There seems to be a lot less concern and even a bit of glee when long-time members leave. On top of that someone who was not previously a member of "the family" is now running things.

So is SC still a family? Do you care about the members who have left, and are you fond of those who remain? What are your thoughts on the future of this micro-culture that exists here? Is the tight personal connections between users becoming too eroded for SC to maintain a unique and interesting culture in the future? Does anyone have guesses as to how long SC will live before it's shut down completely? And finally, is it possible for SC to turn back the clock and return to a time when the users took more of an interest in each other?

It doesn't really seem that different to me beyond a lot of the characters being recast and the management changing.

I've been here for some years on my main. It definitely feels more like highschool, making fun here and there. However the one person that stood out as someone you can relate, it's Tryptamine.
