YASS it has water trickling AND birds chirping.
these are two of my favorite favorite sounds they're just sooo soothing.
i've been using an app to fall asleep too a lot, light a candle drink some tea and listen to this app called "pure nature"
and it has like rain storm sounds and then beach sounds.
it's called the "elementals" pack or whatever and then the tracks are rolling thunder and island wavescape. AWESOME stuff.
my therapist has something similar to island wavescape playing in her office during our therapy sessions and in the lobby and it helps so much. she has such a "clean" minimalist space and it's so like "zen" and clear and just awesome to walk into. i imeediately feel more at peace and relaxed and stuff. less scattered etc.
and the waves help so much when talking tthrough difficult stuff to reduce the anxiety down or not dissociate etc. it's a constant reminder like, "hey, remember the waves."
and brings me out of whatever i was like snapping into in my head or, physiologically experiencing symptomatically and it's just overall very soothing and relaxing.
awesome awesome therapist. she gets me.
but yeah, also my go to grounding exercise, involves like waves and water so, that's just my favorite go to sound so, when i walked into her office and heard the sound i've been using to self soothe in my head as a coping mechanism for years- playing out loud all around me it almost like made me cry i was like "i'm in the right place."
hah, she had the sound just right.
there is a difference between like, the soothing sounds and the "nature tracks" that just aren't the right way... to actually be soothing idk how to explain. it just has to be right. and then it works.
also i wanted to share this song:
which @3:22 has the most beautiful gentle outro ever and i'm in love with it. like, that is so on point for me. and what i, like to hear in a song rn so.. yasss. 10/10 relaxation. hell yes. mmm she gets it.
the music video is lyfe too.
but yeah it's cool because whenever i play the piano in my house, i open up these big french doors i have in front of it, and just look out into nature, it's nothing but nature. and i can hear the birds chirping and hear/see the wind blowing the leaves around in the air and the sun shine beaming down and it's just a really awesome thing to me. i love that in the background of some of my recordings on the piano, (i have hundreds of recordings lol) you can hear the birds chirping in them through out the music, or in the outros and intros. it's just, the best sound ever. i love it. love, love it.
edit: actually i just realized the youtube version has a slightly different ending than the spotify album version
https://open.spotify.com/track/1EvFahLuLZ0vSVZo8YR3G9?si=Z-8dRVslQvixiF7h5aji7A
and this one's a bit longer but it's better. the sound of the birds is better in this one and then there is a whole other like, acoustic part just at the end that i honestly wish was longer but it probably is there for the purpose of feeding into the next song in the album is what it sounds like.
i've also found that spotify premium music quality is different than non premium and also significantly different from youtube quality. it's the best i've been able to find IMO. it's subtle but if your an "ear" person and you're a music person you'll hear it, and it makes all the difference to me. in the soothing quality of the music. etc.
