I'd likely not be the one to snitch, but I also would likely distance myself more. 

Getting involved for or against the one doing this stuff's going to carry the heft of a lot of weight.

 I guess I should rephrase and say that it also depends on who or what the crime was done too as well. I can't say if I would or not unless it was a specific hypothetical scenario.
