This song deserves it's own thread! It's just amazing. It has a great melody that sounds like it's from the 40's or something, and it has a great underlying message.. which I think is very Buddhist and relaxing. Basically saying don't worry, and don't try to control the future, just relax, whatever will be will be.
When it says "we don't understand", and then someone says "what did you expect to find?", and then they go on to say "what's going to be our future?" and then it goes onto how we feel we have a responsibility to influence the future, It's like an examination of the Human thought process itself, and how we try to control our future, and sometimes we feel a responsibility to live up to our ideal future..

Their sound reminds me a little of The Avalanches. As for the message, I think it's more that the song spoke to you from something about you as opposed to something about it. It's really not that much on it's own.

...you don't know anything relevant about Buddhism. Quit New Aging it up.
Que Sera Meaning: Basically saying don't worry, and don't try to control the future, just relax, whatever will be will be.
Technically, Que Sera just means "Whatever will be". The Sera is said twice for a reason.
Personally, I like the original more.
The song is about the unpredictability of life. All the things people ask about what will happen with their lives are met with: "Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. The future's not our's to see."
"Should I paint pictures, should I sing songs?" "Will I be pretty, will I be rich?"
The truth is, is that no one can give you a definitive answer on such questions. You might have a talent for a thing which makes you seem qualified for it, but you cannot predict life's circumstances. The song is about accepting that which we cannot have foreknowledge of.
Good example of what I mean here:
(The song is used to illustrate the point I just made)
This song can make someone use to structure sad. It brings about a bit of fear in the unknown and uncertainty.
This song is not meant to be sad just honest. It isn't so sad when someone has confidence. It be confidence in that whatever comes they will do their best. It means knowing enough to trust onself to pursue the desires of their heart.
This song can even give hope. It brings the hope that life can be better than imagined at times. It implies life can be worse than imagined at times. I know life is not always going to be perfect and joyous. I want the highest highs and lowest lows.
I do not want to go numb to the pain because it is part of me. I do not want to go numb to the pain because it's part of being human. I don't want to be numb to the pain because it helps me appreciate the good that much more...
I see hope that life will be stimulating and worth living. It will have highs and lows.
I am always surprised of how good life can be. It tends to seem almost like miracles or fate. It is turning out even better than I could have ever IMAGINED.
I'm kind of excited to see just how high and pleasing this life can and will be ^.^
