Fair enough... you must see this as a major issue with your self worth and how this is all playing out... Progress is your choice at this point in life.

As for the advice.... my sister is considering putting the house in her name, which tells me it's an excellent opportunity. My daughter is only a backup option, in case my sister gets turned down for the mortgage.

Nope. I know who I am and what I'm capable of. It's not my own worth that I take issue with.

My self esteem's pretty low on an emotional level. I've had to rationalize more than once that I'm better than I think I am.

There's people with your circumstances who still have high self esteem, yours just doesn't look like how it'd look from them. 

You know people from my circumstances who have high self esteem, who also don't lie to themselves about where they're from, or come across like self deluded narcs?

I honestly can't say that I know even one person from my circumstances who completed any postsecondary education.

A majority of the people I know who came up in my circumstances are drug addicts/ alcoholics.

A good number of the people I knew in my teens and 20s are dead now.

And you use these loser types as your bench mark... you're not better because they are shit... you're better because your you.  So what you don't know a single person in your circumstances who completed postsecondary education?  So what if they're dead or drug addicts or in jail... what are you?

The mere fact that I'm standing up to you while you tryta tear down my self esteem (i.e. tell me I'm wrong) should say smthg about my self esteem. Like maybe there's nothing wrong with it.

 My last official test suggested that my self esteem may be quite low, but I disagree. I was just dealt a shittier hand than most people.

So when I have to answer "yes" to questions like "my finances are not in order" or "I don't live where I want to live" or "I don't like my job" the tests [and people everywhere :P]  assume far more self loathing than is actually going on with me. Shit happens and I've made the best of it.

I coulda done much, much worse with the hand my biology and my shitty neighbourhood dealt me.

Translation: Stop tryina tell me money ought to equal happiness and confidence.

And stop tryina tell me I'm somehow 'worse' or 'less right' than you are.

I'm fine. So fuck off and die.

I am not perfect =/= I suck and I hate myself.
