Gerard tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position in the bed. He pulled the satin sheets over himself and reached out to cuddle his boyfriend, Chapo. He was so happy to have him at his side.
Gerard and Chapo met at an arcade in Texas. Chapo, who was wearing a cowboy hat, blue jeans, and boots, stole Gerard's heart. Gerard was just a man from Minnesota without any knowledge on herding cows and riding horses. Chapo showed him the ropes (no pun intended).
The boys became fast friends and would talk for hours on end while eating cherry pie. Gerard would listen to Chapo talk about his collection of cowboy hearts. Chapo would return the favor by listening to Gerard discuss his paintings.
They fell for each other fast and hard. They were both shy about their love for each other.
Gerard and Chapo were sitting on the couch watching a movie. Gerard had his head on Chapo's shoulder and Chapo had his arm around him.
"You're adorable," Chapo told him.
Gerard blushed. "I-I am?"
"You really are. Really pretty too. I think you're pretty, Gerard."
The two looked into each other's eyes before connecting their lips. They kissed passionately before pulling apart.
"I-I think I love you," Chapo blurted out.
"I think I love you too."
They laughed and kissed again. "W-will you be my boyfriend?"
Gerard wrapped his arms around Chapo, and mumbled, "Yes," into his shoulder.
The two men had been dating for about three and a half years. They were so happy together. They imagined getting married and growing old together. Gerard's heart fluttered at the thought of Chapo and him at the alter.
