So, Angee (my sister from another mister) and anyone listening in. I'm  sure you're aware Jem & The Holograms was a cartoon.

I used to watch when I was about five.

I don't remember any episodes whatsoever, but when it was cool for me to say so I said I remembered one about some guy on drugs jumping out a window. And this cartoon was for children??!

Incidentally, I think this may be the episode. Not featuring the rock band but still some scary pyrotechnics at work -- for a five year-old.

You are probably wondering why it was called Jem and the Holograms. The cartoon series wasn't anything to get that hyped over, but here is the reason.

"The episodes followed a young woman named Jessica Benton, who, with the help of a computer named Synergy, and a pair of special earrings, [could] turn herself into her celebrity identity: the rockstar Jem."

 

*Also apparently a film reprising Jem was out last year, tanked and was yanked from theaters after 2 weeks.
