Damn...that would make for quite the ...odd scenario to deal with. What do you think of that...on a visceral level?
When you say 'misguided" what do you mean? Where is the error in your opinion?
"What do you think of that...on a visceral level?"
It's what I've come to expect from them, so only a mild level of disappointment.

The error is white guilt in my opinion. Slavery was a horrible thing, but you have to stop focusing on it. I think Americans teach too much and give too much guilt when it comes black slavery. You cant sit there, educate some black kid about slavery, tell him how bad it was and then not expect that same kid to speculate if society is racist when he looks at his employer/landlord's skin color.
I cant say it better than morgan freeman.
Well said...at the same time....where is the offense in black man, or white man...both are Facts. Not like not saying it changes the reality of it either...
Agree with you though, slavery was horrific, and it is past tense....like a lot of the crap in the world seems to be firing up based on past actions without sense or reason....
Maybe it is nothing more than First World Bullshit of the bored and entitled?
Out of curiosity, ( and well aware of how ignorant this sort of question is ) How do you personally Identify within the the context of race?
"How do you personally Identify within the the context of race?"
I have no racial identity as far as I'm concerned. There's been times in my life where I've been alienated by both whites and blacks, for being too much or too little of a race. I've noticed subconsciously though I side with one race or another behavior wise depending on the circumstance. Totally not an ignorant question either.

It's always been a popular thing to be different but now being different has somehow managed to manifest itself into a group mentality simultaneously. But yeah, I'd chalk it up to human nature complicating things via first world complacency/luxury

It's not offensive, but it constantly reminds you we're different. When your thoughts start wandering on those differences, stereotypes emerge and so on. It's a good example of practices that start the root of racism/reverse racism

Thanks...so being biracial places you in the middle...and sort of a whipping post at times when it is ignorantly convenient for someone who would exploit that particular vulnerability. I can see the siding dependant on circumstance, makes sense...even when it possibly not genuinely an issue for you. Has that ever been a factor?

it is really odd isn't it? Being different....but...you in particular, already are, by birth...nothing that anyone could ever take from you...and would be ludicrous if they tried. And in a sense....either side of the race equation if they are fanatics, will try to do exactly that...

Can see that....but...differences are not negative qualities either...or they don't have to be...but I do see what you mean about stereotypes. Race is bad enough...but complicate with some of the crazy gender war garbage on top of it....and looks like the crazies of either side are in control. South Africa is / was and remains a brutal example of that.
