You think too much girlie girl! you gotta just let your atoms resonate with the constipation of the universe before that final ooph when you drop that mother load! Feel my meaning?
"Do you agree that a need for closure is what makes humans inquisitive? "
I believe this appetite for closure is an extension of conflict/relief seeking. We will always want what we can't have, the strongest cases of curiosity and human inquisition come from focusing on an elusive concept. So yes I agree with this entirely, I just feel that the concept of conflict and what it is to humans is the root to closure.
"If so, does that mean chaos an uncertainty in the world would compel people to exercise their minds more, ultimately increasing intelligence?"
Entirely. On a personal level this is part of the reason I enjoy the though of an apocalypse. On a more credible subject, there's a reason we've had massive technology boosts following both world wars. The best example of this is the arms race during the cold war, where our fear and competitive nature had us race to reach the moon. When things around us get complacent, we stagnate and often start conflicts naturally.
