So by now I know you long time users have noticed repeating trends, cycles and seasons to this place. I wanted to start a discussion on what we all observe repeating or maybe even list a time this place broke from it's mold and did something new. Whether it be repeating topics, argument tactics, user personalities, certain triggers or general interest, how do you think this place repeats itself.

endless shitposting with repetitive content,repitive trolling of the same target makes it boring,e relationships and roleplaying takes out the seriousness aspect of this place,basically the serious people who would make an account here clearly see that this forum doesnt bring anything except nonsencical bullshit and the ones who did stay here because they "learned" the normal sense of humour of this place? and the very older members left who were seriouser about this place,slowly the average age? started going lower in this place. just had a thought stream l o l and i know im not much of an older member but meh
I think you can only take things so far before a desensitization occurs... how many times can you look at a gapping ass hole before you start saying, "Yep. That's that gapping orifice again."? Kid comes on here after killing his grand pops... runaways being abducted... pedophiles... wanna be murderers with blood lust... a million and one beepers... wow... could go on all day...
And then... I see a lack of masochism. People here like to throw shit but some are just too afraid to share deeply enough for fear of being hit... like standing outside the mosh pit and throwing a cheap shot elbow to a fringe rocker... punk shit...
And then... where did all the subtly humor/insults go? Twisted rambling spazoids shouting blatant obvious non sense as insults, "FUCK YOU", "KILL YOURSELF", "NOBODY CARES"... some should take pride in their work and step up the game.
In the end... every social media source I have tried fails to stimulate me even a tenth what this place does on it's most lame day. And you really can not get more egotistical and narcissistic than Facebook, God Bless SC! God Bless the USA! God save us ALL!
I know when I first came to the forum, I was so interested in it. Reading up on how people responded or reacted to one another was enough to keep me occupied for hours and that was just posts alone. The posts had enough sustenance for me that I never bothered with public or private chat until I had close to a 1,000 posts(I posted seldom so this took about half a year). Now, it's quite the opposite. I spend most of my time in chat and it's just shit-post rants in place of what used to be discussion.
My hypothesis on what happened to this place is that the culture shifted from too much edge quite frankly. We all laugh at tk's test threads, but I remember a time where out of the top 10 threads, they'd be at least 3-4 of them. A lot of the users back then we're just comparing how bad their aspd or problems were, while simultaneously shooting down others for their claims. We suffered an inflation of it and the community got sick of it. That coupled with the new members that came in not already indoctrinated to SC values encouraged more disapproval of the old edgy way. This place just valued mental fuck ups and issues more back then(sc was emo), which spurred more introspective topics that we learned from.
Out of this, counter culture gained a stronger foothold on sc(it's always been there to begin with). Anyone claiming to be a sociopath is quicker to get bashed now(im 50/50 on whether that's right in my opinion or not) and while we usually dont bash anyone when genuine issues are shared, it still discourages people from sharing anything personal.
It's my honest belief that if the kiwi farms incident would've happened in a time before this site had chat, the results would've been far more amusing

I used to be very motivated to be funny and original, making up stories and puns and wordplay on the spot, but that died down since members like blanc, fire, and all the new kids came after 2015, it just doesn't feel worth it, I'd feel cheated if I did something for these people. I find myself frequenting other forums and apps more and more often as the discussion here has reduced to histrionic whining being happy with just being noticed (so sad lol) and xena's attempts to be funny. We either need to bring some members like that short hair big tit chick or TheSocio or Sixx or we need to get tf out of here.
The number of teen shitposters who arrived impacted the forum very badly imo. Tpg is the main example of lowering the forum standards.
The old cast, well, we kinda know each other by now. Almost everything we were willing to share got shared, all attacks made, and retaliations had. Almost all the topics that used to keep us interested got explored to death (test threads, am I a sociopath, feelings, manipulation, etc).
We need new blood here, almost everything became very predictable and there is little motivation to contribute.
