If WW3 can't even hide the loggers properly, what's he going to do with the IP? Any that might be able to do something don't really give a shit enough to do anything with it.

From the pictures in the news articles, it looked like he had SC open on his laptop when they found him. They probably would have pulled it with or without proxy anyway as a matter of standard procedure. 

The concern was other users here planting obvious IP loggers, which made some people uncomfortable. I think this explanation misses the point.

that didn't stop the fbi from pulling a warrant. with it, they found a 2nd confession.
