you stared at an anime pic for hours? damn man, you're one of a kind :D
(Apparently, the window of time I had to edit my post has expired, so I have to repost...)
I've always liked Cheshire Cat. Playful, enigmatic, yet mad. This is the positive side I perceive. The final image right above, is wonderfully fractal. This definitely captures how I sometimes perceive things: it's constituent parts and the whole, simultaneously and paradoxically and tautologically; the spiraling perception of infinities.
This is Azazel, the demon from the Sandman comics. He signifies that tear in my normally integral state that opens to the darker half, which contains the "voices" and entropic self-scrutiny, etc. The final one of Azazel, which is directly above, symbolizes that dreamy and delusional (Dream/Morpheus, whom holds Azazel in the jar) aspect with which this tear in the psyche can (believed to) be contained. There are a lot of underlying currents besides this, but it's pretty much how I perceive perceiving it. :)

All hilarity aside, how accurate are the self-images to what others perceive?
I'd think each person would have provide an explanation for their choice of image before this can happen. And I so want it
