I need a new laptop. I want to use it for my studies, some webuse with tons of tabs and some documents. It needs to be light, fairly good batterytime and it's a plus if it has a glowing keyboard. Oh, and a reasonable price around give or take $1800, nothing over $2400, and preferably closer to $1200. And no touch ^^
Sooo here is some computery stuff for you computery people who understands this nonsense of numbers and letters:
Size: 12"-16"
2GHz-4GHz
RAM: 8GB-16GB
Batterytime: 12-20 hours
Weight: under 1.5 kg
The laptops I've looked at for now are the following:
Macbook air 13" (128GB, 256GB and 512GB)
Macbook 12" (1.1GHz 8GB 256GB SSD)
Apple Macbook Pro Retina
Dell XPS (1 vote on this)
Fujitsu Lifebook (S935 and S936)
HP Elitebook 840
Toshiba kira (-109, -10q)
Toshiba portege (Z30-B-142, Z30-B-14Z, Z30-C-12C, Z30-C-12H, Z30-B-107, Z30-B-11T)
Toshiba Satellite (Z30-B-10C, Z30-B-10W)
Acer (recommended by ana, not sure which to pick though, if picking acer)
I've heard lenovo is no good, so please don't take that brand into concideration when helping me finding my new laptop. As you've seen I can't even make up my mind if I should pick a macbook or a windows, or which windows operating system to pick.
And what's a chromebook? It seems like there is chromebooks from many different brands and they're all affordable...
Please help me! :)
Oh and this advice might be helpful "just buy a less expensive one with more storage and batterytime" ^^
Love you,
Mika
