Unacquainted as we are, introductory comments from the eponymous characters? Comments from others?

I'm aware this is a terribly lazy way of making acquaintance, but we'll all inevitably die one day and I have three loads of washing in the queue. One is a fine-knit woollen. I'm ill-equipped. The last one shrank. Significantly. Useless even to one of those premature sea-monkey-type infants. That small.

I wonder if this came across as insane.

Also, regarding whether or not this is a lazy way of making acquaintance; If I could, in all good conscious, shout to strangers, "Who are you?" I would do so. But it's almost invariably poorly received.
