Physics Importance.

In electromagnetism, permittivity of absolute permittivity is the measure of resistance that is encountered when forming an electric field. I like electromagnetism in physics it is my favorite unit in physics. I will emphasize that it is in electromagnetism which is my fave unit in physics.

It has a second  use that includes providing the measure of deformation representing the displacement between particles in the body relative to a reference length.
