She's been absent for a while, while Turncoat keeps posting. What's up with that? Turncoat?
I might as well answer the question now that the dramedy's petered out.
My laptop was slowly dying after Tryp dropped it off a table during his and Syst's visit (among other damages). I thought that it just did software damage from that forcing an improper shut down, but apparently it damaged the hard drive. Since then I spent time trying to optimize it's speed, but a few weeks into Thailand was when it's time was up.
I could still moderate from my phone, but it was slow and annoying to do so. As such I decided to keep that detail hidden and kept posting to show that I wasn't absent and make things appear as normal. Consequently however, having been the only one to bring a laptop, both Crow and Syst began posting less from phone typing not being worth the inconvenience (Crow and I have been sharing a phone as well, adding to that inconvenience).
The repair isn't too expensive (around $160), but it'd take time to do and isn't convenient overseas. As a result I've been lugging around a paperweight across South East Asia and the three of us would participate more in forum politics when where we were staying had a public computer. We've recently invested in a cheap Lenovo laptop to be our travel/emergency computer, Syst has become more adjusted to browsing SC on his phone, and we're currently settled into one place for a little under a month with our own wifi, so we're now more likely to be active.
