A civil life sounds reasonable. Would you say your moods or substances are barriers? 

They are capable of destabilizing me, and can temporarily upset my environment. I do not see them as barriers, though I am cognizant of the negative consequences of some of my actions.

I'd say that my barriers are thick enough to affect what I do and don't want to do. It's not holding me back, it's steering. 

Interesting that you should uncouple your barriers from yourself, when they so intimately relate to your desires. Let us imagine for a moment that you're steering. Where are you going, and what determines your course?

I don't know what it'd feel like to be steering. 

I'm just here, existing. Life is what it is and I do what comes naturally, just like everyone else.

Set aside your passivity, and all of the rationalizations with which you justify it, for just a moment, and imagine what it would feel like...

Where would you go, if you were the only one behind the wheel?

Where would I even start for imagining that? I'd have to either be blind enough to believe it or deific enough to make it so. 

From the looks of things I can't drop it, and I honestly don't know where I'd go even with the power needed to do so. I don't have much when it comes to a sense of direction anymore, as I can't even say what it is that I really want.

It's a South East Asia trip that I'm still on, and it wasn't my idea. I went along with it from liking it, but the idea was proposed by Crow as opposed to myself. 

you agreed to it, no? that's you taking control of your life. you had power to say no yet you said yes.
