I know people sometimes have reaction to shots. Then DON'T HAVE THEM.

As for me, I'd rather have the shot. I have developed flu several years when I did not take the shot, but only ever 2 mild flus the seasons when I had shots. It is a waste when totally healthy people have flu shots (they don't where I live), unless you simply cannot afford being down for 10 days.

As an infectious prone person I'd rather have the shot, never had a reaction to it. My immune system is quite good fighting off non respiratory illnesses but flu goes straight into my lungs causing pneumonia. I have been down and out for a week with a plain cold that gave others 2 days' sniffles. Ugh.
