Ed's behaviour is consistent with the beliefs and codes of conduct he's always upheld. It's Turncoat who's changed. Turn and I have always disagreed about a good number of things. But he kept his trolling to a minimum before. Now Turn is making trollish remarks nearly every time I'm around.

Ed only sees fit to comment about maybe every 5th Xenatrolling attempt by TC.

It's not petty to say that somebody who used to make good decisions (in Ed's view) is now behaving in a biased manner (Again, in Ed's view. I always thought TC was biased, even more so now.)

Whatever the fuck crashed the previous page, because Luna is incompetent, should be considered spam. I can't open or read it. And i didn't read it yesterday as i thought its just another WW3 ramble.

Yeah,  Berk obviously did that to make TC look bad. It's policy to delete posts that crash threads like that. Berk wants it to look like Turncoat deleted his posts for personal reasons.

So are we talking being "on topic" now? I see nothing wrong with turning a thread into a music thread, and 5 posts barely even accomplish that.

What attitude towards Turncoat are you talking about, exactly? Me saying he abused his power now? You think I would have kept quiet before the Luna thing?

This is why I have always been against moderation.

Glitched posts that cause a majority of users to crash should be deleted. Emotionally reactive, histrionic hissy fits designed to detract and derail should be left to speak for themselves. 

Call someone on their shit, but don't censor them.

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone here. Berk, Ed, and Xena for obvious reasons. Cad and Alena because it shouldn't be about intent. If a phenominal autist comes in here and spams the place to death, but is too retarded to realize he's spamming, that doesn't mean we'd leave it up. Likewise, Xenas intention to derail a thread she didn't like is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is whether or not what she did qualifies as spam. Flooding a discussion thread with irrelevant music videos is absolutely spam. The only question that remains is "how much is too much?". I didn't see the thread in question, but I've heard conflicting reports about how many videos were posted. Xena says five, other people have told me it was more. Regardless, I think we should have a discussion about what qualifies as spam. Because many times I have seen Turncoat being told to " use his discrestion" when the community was too divided or too lazy to come up with specifics, and then he gets bitched at for it later. We need some damn consesus.

 

And Ed, I think you need to get a handle on yourself. You used to talk about how much you like and respect TC. But ever since the post-Luna-meltdown drama, it seems like you're looking for any reason to attack him. Is one disagreement all it takes for you to turn on a friend? First of all, it's the first time Turncoat obviously uses his mod power to strike someone he dislikes. 5 music videos are NOT spam more than any music thread is spam, especially since they even had a fucking theme.

And since you brought friendships into this (which you shouldn't have, since the "dont disagree with someone because they are my friend" mentality is a dead giveaway to how you function here), Xena is just as much a friend to me as Turncoat.

I for one never said that five videos qualifies as spam. I specifically said that I don't know if Xena was spamming and that we should have a community discussion as to what qualifies.

As for your behaviour, I comment on it because your attitude towards him has changed drastically since a single event that upset you. I never said you had to agree with him, and I think you know perfectly well that I'm the last person to be afraid to argue with a friend.

Please address your feelings. It's making you impossibly tedious to have a proper discussion with.

Yep.  My intent was to post music. Not to spam. Not to ruin the usability of anything.

Nowhere in any of the posts I made on that thread did I say I intended to spam.

I posted 5 songs and they were all different. Not spam.

One or 2 of them could have even been considered at least as on topic as Fuckit's vids.

Music posts have been posted before without getting any attention.  Turncoat clearly said he deleted Xna's posts because of HER INTENT:

You got proven how that reason was faulty and shitty, then you try to find other reasons to justify Turn's attitude (number of posts). You're crashing here Crow, you and Turncoat should save it while you can with your reputation of impartiality still hanging by a thread, and admit Turncoat made a mistake.

The one rule is clear: delete and ban if it affects the usability of the site. It's pretty straight forward to me.
