I have similar tactics. It's as though everyone is consciously/subconsciously playing the power game, no matter how subtle it may seem.

I'm black/asian (look hispanic). On the train this 60yo white man is sitting in front me, making obvious gestures (Ex. cocking his 'hand' gun / the expression where you slit your throat with your finger, etc.). So I played this song and stared at him the entire time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMxNYQ71LOk

 And it felt great. You could almost feel the fear in his eyes.

exactly! you get it!  and other times people aren't very self-conscious/introspective and aren't aware of messages they're sending.

great story about the train encounter btw.
