Sadly yeah, I don't think it's possible to keep the cultures we have forever. They are changing all the time, and always have been. They themselves are the result of past migrations and mixes of older cultures. And nowadays life is getting more and more dynamic, distances don't mean much anymore, and economically we can't isolate ourselves. There will be progressively more cultural exchanges coming from closer contact between people from different countries and yeah I think it's only a matter of time before globalization makes us all similar. I don't like it, but I am sure this can't really be stopped, it's bound to happen eventually, be it because of migrants from war, or from people being hired for their talents in different countries, or people falling in love and marrying across borders. I don't think it's worth fighting for a delay when that comes with injustice and breeches of freedom.
I agree it is inevitable that cultures change over time and it's almost impossible to stand in the way of progress, but ppl should speak out when they don't like that direction the change is moving. If we are moving towards a more intolerant society where it is more difficult for women, gay ppl, minorities etc then we should do smth about it. Not all change and 'progress' is good.
I won’t even bother with that, i skin & gut a dozen or more imbeciles like you before breakfast on any given day, ed. Can give you the link to my other venue(s) if you want to read a stock response to that sort of drivel.
But im nice, so here’s a short version: your “right†to a free lunch and a welfare cheque ends where my border begins. (Same goes for your “right†to being offended, etc. etc.)
Some cruel fairy godmother turned your pointy little head into a used tampon upon your birth, edvard.
No, there’s no cure for that. You are doomed.
Or was it your mother?
^ Genuine question.
Yeah. I'd like to read your response about you getting out of the EU if you don't like it. Speaking of handouts, do you deny that Hungary took more money from the EU than it gave to it?
Your PM on EU funds: bitching hypocritically about you being poor because of historical reasons and demanding the right to help and money because of that.
"Don’t take away our EU funds because that makes us a sovereign nation! BOOO HOO!!
“It is difficult to use light language when reacting to any talk [in the EU] about connecting any discussion of money to the issue of immigration. Not to mention that….I don’t think [Hungary] gets money as ‘help’ from the West. This is a complete misunderstanding. We can’t accept that and I have never accepted this idea that they are giving us money out of solidarity. Like heck they are! What we’re talking about is that Hungary is the member of a common economic zone. We had to live under communism for 40 years while they had 40 years of capitalism. --> They are rich and have lots of capital, while we are poor and lack capital because we’ve lived under communism. Regardless of this, we together decided to unite our economic areas. It’s completely obvious that we can’t have honest and fair competition between businesses, people and countries that have had 40 years to become rich while the other group was robbed for 40 years. <-- There has to be some kind of mechanism that provides fair and honest competition for these two groups to interact in. If we didn’t have this, they would invade us economically. We would be a colony if this disparity was allowed to stand. They know this too because they’ve had colonies,†Orbán said."
As for "your borders"...Been in Budapest many times and I am well acquainted with the life there, especially the (awesome) nightlife. You can't fool anyone, you hungarian ladies generally speaking have nothing against foreigners when it comes to money and cock :D

"t blows my mind that there is no word for 'reasonable' in Hungarian. "
^ LOL where did you get that from? There is, of course, it translates to ...ahem, 'reasonable'. Or 'rational'. That sort of thing, you get the drift of it..
http://www.fluentin3months.com/culture-hacking/ < this article, and discussion of it with a Hungarian-speaking friend.
Well, you've certainly reached an oddly impressive level for someone who claims never to have learned properly. They teach Latin in Hungarian schools? Or are we talking about a posh school?
