I think that it is a fair asking price. There are many multi-million dollar houses in Michigan, especially those on islands or with lake access. 

Disagree. I checked other listings in that postal code. That price is way too high. It ain't 2006 anymore.

Islands are a different matter. An island home has always been worth big $$ anywhere.

Summer cottages in MI are relatively cheap, tho. 

The house was actually 4.5 million before they cut down the price.

I just checked the history. They're asking way too much for that house. The price will drop by at least another $500k, possibly $1 mil, before they can sell it.

^That is a $550 000 house in a nice neighbourhood in Detroit (golf & country club.)

It would sell for $1 mil to $1.5 mil elsewhere in the state.

You mean the house you're referring to was worth $4.5 mil 10 years ago before the Big 3 auto manufacturers moved to China and the real estate market crashed?

I've lost interest. Think what you want about Michigan real estate.

Ive actually been following the market in Windsor and in MI for about a year now.

A nice fixerupper with tenants could be an affordable alternative to staying stuck in my poverty.

Time will tell.

I edited it because my mind is wandering so much right now. I couldn't make it sound right and I didn't have the attention span to keep trying.
