I prefer the Deadpool movie even though it was a terrible depiction of the comic character. I swear if one more person says "truest movie to the comics ever" I will flip my shit.

Star Wars 7 OR Deadpool - Better movie

I've been programmed to watch Star Wars since 1980 and I was sick of it when late episodes 1,2,3 made it worse.

Very few movies has me paying to see it on the big screen. Episode 7 was exceptional cause I've been seeing Star Wars in Theaters since I was six. I booked an iMax seat, center of the screen, and center of the surround sound system for Episode 7. It was great cause it was a more progressive story as opposed to looking back at how Anakin became Dark Vader. The film also took a better resemblance to the greater episodes 4,5,6 and it was even filmed more traditionally, like the use of real fuel explosions.

The thing about Star Wars is, we can ask questions about it and get answers, just as you've done here, we see side stories then we see it play out in the movie in some way, even the whole female Jedi thing was already known to come about at least 2 decades ago. I personally wanted to find out why is it not the green light saber, and the amount of information I got from looking it up was enough to make me appreciate Star Wars again.

Since I've collected the first 32 Deadpool books, that movie was just an old idea that amazingly came to be since Deadpool wasn't that well known. I still haven't seen the movie though. I don't think it was a good idea to make the film Restricted.

(EDIT: Just to add, I used to read the comic books with my shirt pulled over my nose, for those times I'd burst out laughing. The books properly preserved and I hope the movie will increase the value of this treasure. The modern depictions of Deadpool doesn't seem to amuse me, I haven't been in any rush to see the film. )

I'm going to guess Star Wars Episode 7 is the better movie, since it has a more detailed story line and overall structure.

The blue saber alone has a lot of interest that evolved nearly 40 years in the making. I had to Wiki this because we all know Luke constructed a new light saber and it's the green one, so what about this blue one ?

The blue light saber was constructed by Anakin Skywalker, and he lost it when Obi Wan cut him down. Obi later on passed on the blue saber to Luke and told him "This was your Father's, he wanted you to have it" Luke later on lost his hand along with the blue light saber when his Father, aka Darth Vader, creator of the blue light saber cut off his hand.

The Star Wars Wiki suggests a cleaning droid retrieved the light saber which was still wrapped in Luke's severed hand, and Darth Vader went and got it, and how the hand was used for.... Well a whole other story comes about, but now we see this blue light saber in episode 7, which is indeed the same light saber hilt we see over and over again until now.

- Anakin created and rocked the blue saber

- Obiwan ended up taking the saber so he rocked it too.

- Luke rocked the blue saber.

- Han solo rocked it for a quick second to save Luke from freezing to death

- Finn rocked the blue saber

- Rey rocked the blue saber, it's hers now.

- Kylo Ren worships his grandfather Anakin and wants to rock the blue saber, but the force isn't strong enough in him.

Right now the people are thinking about the blue saber and what story will it reveal in episode 8. I personally fancy the story behind the green light saber, cause Luke had to follow a tutorial to make that from scratch, even the crystal he used for it had to be synthesized, making it the only light saber to use a synthetic crystal. ( There was a ban on those crystals used to make light sabers ) When Vader checked out Luke's green saber in Return of the Jedi he was like "I see you've constructed a new light saber, you are indeed powerful" before Luke used it to beat his ass.

These are just inanimate objects, and this small thing alone has more story line than a movie like Deadpool would deliver. It's okay to like either movie over the other, but in comparison, Deadpool would be a cheap fix compared to what Star Wars Episode 7 delivers in it's entirety.

Comic books and movies are research to me.

Not enough people understand this sort of thing.

I work in the field of visual arts, so there are technical reasons behind my claim.
