Tell Us About Yourself - Questions For All Of You to answer

Systematic stated: source post

See the future. So I could kick back, grab popcorn and watch man wipe himself out or reach his potential.

A life without a sense of discovery and suspense sounds more like a curse to me. If you could see the future and saw that Determinism was right, you'd also see that there's nothing you could do about it.

You'd also know everything you're going to do before you do it, essentially reducing your perception of life to an autopilot.

I'd feel like being able to see the future would lift so much curiosity off of my shoulders

You want to get rid of your sense of curiosity? That sounds awful. It's like having every spoiler known to man to go with your idea.

I'd also be able to look at the string of events and spend time correlating them to certain philosophical approaches to see what comes out on top.

Depending on the nature of it, you'd already see yourself doing said research and know the answers to it, yet you'd still also need to do the research to have that knowledge at an earlier point in time. You'd be essentially studying what you already know so that you could have known it prior. It's like studying filler homework but even more boring.

Seeing ideologies, paradigms and cultures rise and fall would be one hell of a learning experience.

You'd see them all and then it'd be done with. Why even do anything when you already know everything that's going to happen?

After that I'd just go play the lottery or something and spend the rest of my days indulging. I really can't think of any circumstance better than that.

What value would anything have at that point?

Humans have had a pretty epic story, I'd rather have this one spoiled than to miss out on most of it.

"Depending on the nature of it, you'd already see yourself doing said research and know the answers to it, yet you'd still also need to do the research to have that knowledge at an earlier point in time. I maybe able to see the future in this instance, but that doesn't bring about understanding. I'm only viewing events happening, I'd spend a lot of time breaking down the events that I saw, the mistakes and circumstances that lead up to that.

"You'd see them all and then it'd be done with. Why even do anything when you already know everything that's going to happen?"

I'm sure people will destroy themselves before everything is answered and there are questions that exist now that I think will never have a clear explanation. Future events would bring more evidence to certain ones and just being able to pick out patterns in each future approach taken to show what's preferable for me. I see being able to view the future as a concept that will help me figure out the unexplained questions in life. It'd help me create the most concrete and tested philosophy out there and use it as a Rosetta Stone to start decoding the real mysteries.

"What value would anything have at that point?"

Temporary and momentary indulgences ontop of the rosetta stone/future bible reference i made above
